Ingredients
- 2 Cups Gluten Free Flour (my go to is the PC Brand)
- 2 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Sea Salt
- 1 1/2 Cups Sparkling Water
- 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp. Maple Syrup
Herbed Oil
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 gloves minced garlic
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together all of the ingredients for the herbed oil. Set aside for later.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk together dry ingredients. Add sparkling water, olive oil and maple syrup. Mix until well blended.
- Pour batter onto baking sheet and spread evenly with a silicone spatula. Dough should be about 1/2 inch thick.
- Use fingers to poke indents in dough about 1 inch apart. Spread herbed Oil over the top of the dough.
- Bake bread for 20-22 minutes, until golden brown. Rotate after 10 minutes.
- Let cool and serve warm.
Note: I have recently played around with using room temperature vs cold soda water. If you are looking for a puffy, pillowy bread, use room temperature soda water. If you are looking for it to be a little chewier, go with cold.
